| Research Abstract |
This research project aims to carry out the analysis on the current situation and issues concerning China's population and environment, especially the current life situation of China's elderly people and the impacts of population aging on Chinese society. From the year 2008 to 2012, five questionnaire surveys regarding the elderly people' life were conducted. The three surveys concerning the life situation of the elderly and their social security in rural areas are as follows : the Hunan survey, the Hainan survey and the Inner Mongolia survey. The two questionnaire surveys concerning the life situation of the elderly and their social security in urban areas are as follows : the Shanghai survey and the Beijing survey. Furthermore, it also explores the impacts of population aging on China's individual family and the whole Chinese society. As the result, the book has been published and the science research report has been finished.
