| Research Abstract |
黄砂の発生自体を抑制するための提言の根拠となるレベルでの砂漠化地域における砂塵の舞い上がりと地表面状態の関係に関する研究を行うことを目的とする。黄砂発生源の中でも特に砂塵嵐の激しい、中国の荒漠草原地域(甘粛省・張掖市)およびモンゴルの自然植生(草原)地域(BayanUnjuul)を観測対象地域とし、研究を行う。研究の主な目的は以下の2点である。
(1)砂塵(ダスト)の舞い上がりと地表面状態、特に植生被覆や土壌水分との関係を現場観測から得る。
(2)観測によって得られた「点の地表面過程の情報」を面的に広げるためのリモートセンシング手法、すなわち黄砂発生源における地表面状況を独自にモニタリング(黄砂発生ホットスポットの特定)するためのプロダクトを開発する。
