Research Abstract |
In Baden and Wurttemberg the pauperism of small-and medium-sized producer happened against the background of population growth that continued in Europe since the late 18th century, it was a serious social Problem through Vormaerz. In addition the competition with foreign factory system-in the case of Black Forest clock industry the American clockmaker-made the situation farther worse. Dies was the starting point of the promotion for industry and commerce by Baden and Wurttembergisch governments. They efforted to protect the small-and medium-sized producer that were preponderant in Baden and Wurttemberg through the introduction of new technology and the vocational and technical training system.
