Research Abstract |
Poly(diacylhydrazine) and poly(acylsemicarbazide) were prepared from bishydrazide. These polymers were useful oxidatively degradable polymers : Although each polymer was stable in air even at higher temperature, it decomposed rapidly by the action of sodium hypochlorite solution. Poly(diacylhydrazine) was directly prepared by the oxidative coupling polymerization of bishydrazide. Polymers with hydrazide in the side chain reversibly crosslinked and decrosslinked by the selective oxidation.
