Research Abstract |
To establish a philosophy of Japanese agricultural science based on the history and culture of Japanese agriculture, which has not been adequately performed, this study empirically clarified the development of Japanese agricultural science during the Taisho・Showa periods by a survey of historical materials and an interview survey of farmers. This study clarified the basic philosophy and philosophical ideas of Japanese agriculture hat have been developed based on Japanese agricultural tradition while merging with Western agriculture.
