Research Abstract |
In the present research, we showed that acquired knowledge in category learning is heavily dependent on each individual's objectives of learning. We also showed that a category can be internally represented in more than a single way. The results of computer simulations suggested that the multiple representation system and situation-adaptive learning behaviors make the category, or more generally, knowledge usage in human very flexible and adaptive in the uncertain world.
