Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to clarify the issue of gender/sexuality education being taught in home economics. Results are as follows : Gender education is taught in the Daily Life level, however the content of this class is about cooperating in married life and family problems, rather than about more specific individual gender and social issues. Sexuality education is mainly taught in the Child Care field. The conclusions are as follows : A teacher who teaches about the importance of life. A teacher who organizes the class according to students current states. A teacher who teaches it as one of the lifestyles. The study shows that some teachers consider that the issues of the various sexuality and human rights themes is content dealt with in home economics at the present stage.
