Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to make clear nursing practice when acting as advocate for terminal cancer patients who transfer to palliative care at home. The author did a participant observation and semi-structured interviews of nurses at a hospital. As a result, 【The nurse supports in a way that allows the patient to make choices】, 【The nurse tries to realize the patient's designed lifestyle】, and 【The nurse plans a smooth transfer to the place of recuperation】 were generated as themes for nursing practice when acting as advocate to terminal cancer patients who transfer to palliative care at home.
