Outline of Opinions Expressed in the Review Results	本研究は、コイサン諸語が示す希少音韻特徴の分布と頻度を特定し、それらの説明原理を考察することを目的とする。この目的を実現するために、言語音の「多様性の内包」ではなく「多様性の外延」に着目するアプローチを採用している。本研究は、人類の言語音の多様性に関する研究史を十分に把握し、その問題点を明らかにした上で、新たな発想と方法によって、従来顧みられなかった問題に挑むところに、重要な学術的意義が認められる。
