Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study focused on intermarriages raising children in five Asian countries (China, Korea, Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore), collecting and analyzing life stories centered on educational awareness from both Japanese spouses and their partners. In 2022, the impact of COVID-19 had subsided, allowing for substantial progress in research in regions other than China. In 2023, we were able to hold in-person meetings with all collaborators, which was a significant achievement as it allowed for the full sharing and in-depth discussion of each other's research. As a result, research findings were presented at academic conferences and published papers in journals and books. Despite the impact of COVID-19, we believe that we were able to achieve the results initially envisioned.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
