Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research focused on the potential-controlled high-temperature metal melt-molten salt (or molten oxide) interface. We aim to create technology for developing new theories to deepen understanding and control of dynamic reaction interfacial phenomena. In addition to high-sensitivity imaging synchronized with high-speed potential/current response and computational fluid dynamics simulation, we newly used electrodeposition microcalorimetry using a micro-sheathed thermocouple electrode. Specifically, this study developed a high-temperature interface multiphysics model through the two systems: 1) molten active metal electrodeposition in a molten salt containing trace elements, and 2) the behavior of molten iron-molten slag interface containing trace elements during anodic polarization.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
