Outline of Final Research Achievements

Based on the "Status of Industry-Academia Collaboration at Universities, etc." survey released from fiscal year 2019 to fiscal year 2022, I compared and analyzed the situation. The number of surveyed institutions increased by about 260 from the first year to the third year, and the number of institutions surveyed in the third and fourth years of 2021 was about 1,050. The percentage of institutions that responded that they had a URA at each institution decreased by about 2 percentage points from the first fiscal year to the fourth fiscal year of 2022.
Looking at the percentage of URAs assigned to each type of educational research institution, the percentage of national institutions was about 60% between FY 2005 and FY 2022, while the percentage was about 10% and 25% for private and public institutions, respectively, indicating that URA positions were introduced at national institutions.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

「大学等における産学連携等実施状況」調査の回答状況が過去4年間で約260機関の増加があったことから、大学等研究機関の研究実施状況は産学連携への対応状況が充実してきていることがわかる。産学連携研究支援の一役を担うURA職は国立大学での導入が半数を超えるが、公立・私立では25%よりも低い水準となっている。産学連携研究の活性化を図る場合には、公立・私立での導入状況の検討も重要となる。
