Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study undertook the visualization of academic information by leveraging research and the development of educational programs in "data-driven design." It focused on the unique visualization of data in the humanities, providing a model for a visualization system. The project involved developing an online "virtual bookshelf" web service that reproduces the layout of bookshelves with spines displayed side by side for major paperback labels. A web API was developed to generate spine images from bibliographic information. Additionally, a practical course on data visualization design using Observable and D3.js was conducted at the university. Throughout the research period, the foundational parts of the visualization system were developed, and presentations related to the educational program were made.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
