Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research examines the process by which "FUJIN(women)" were formed in modern Korea, focusing on secondary education. There are two results of this research. First, we have clarified the backgrounds and trends of educational personnel at secondary educational institutions, which are the places where modern women are nurtured. In particular, the documents confirm that the presence of Korean female teachers who studied at Nara Women's Higher Normal School and returned to their alma mater was necessary for the formation of "FUJIN(women)"Second, we collected and analyzed school register materials released in South Korea in 2018. School register materials revealed the background of future women, including their home environments, grades, and the kind of person they are expected to be.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
