Research Abstract |
Novel photosynthetic microorganisms,which oxygenize biphenyl and dioxin, were prepared by introducing biphenyl-degradation system genes from Acidovorax sp. KKS102 and rattus liver cytochrome P450 1A1 gene into cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC6803 cells, respectively. It was confirmed that the cyanobacterium is useful for bioremediations of aromatic pollutants in oligotrophic environment.
