Research Abstract

本研究計画の最終年度では，これまで調査を継続してきたモンゴル・アルタイ山脈および周辺地域に分布する大陸衝突帯の調査を精密化した．また，ユーラシア大陸極東部（アジア大陸）全域における衝突型造山帯形成に関わる大陸形成テクトニクスがほぼ明らかになったため，アジア大陸形成と日本列島形成過程の関連についても調査・考察した．本年度は，具体的に以下の項目を実施し着実な成果を得た．
１．本年度当初は，これまでの海外調査による試料解析を継続しつつ，日本海拡大前の日本列島とアジア大陸の衝突型造山運動の関連を明らかにするため，西南日本各地の関連変成岩類・火成岩類の調査・分析と原岩推定・同位体精密年代測定を実施して，カンブリア紀～白亜紀に至るアジア大陸東縁のテクトニクスを明らかにした．成果の一部を公表した．
２．アジア大陸形成過程に関して明らかになったテクトニクスモデルを応用し，東南極・セールロンダーネ山地における大陸衝突テクトニクスを解析して，ゴンドワナ超大陸形成過程に制約条件を与え，国際誌に公表した．
３．モンゴル・中国（チベット）・カザフスタン国境付近における大陸衝突型変成岩の変成過程を精密解析し，複雑な衝突境界を地質学的に明らかにするとともに，衝突境界における原岩後背地の区別を初めて明確化した．成果は国際誌に公表した．
４．アジア大陸のおける衝突型造山帯研究総括を円滑・迅速に実施するため，モンゴル，タイ，ミャンマー，ロシア，インドネシア，中国，スリランカ，インド等の関連研究者と密接に研究交流を行い，一部は招聘して精密化学組成分析・年代測定を行った．なお，今年度は共同研究者を含め国際誌等に論文等を多数公表した．また，本研究計画終了後の新たな研究展開を図り地質現象解析を精密化するため，ベトナム，ミャンマー，スリランカ，インド等の東南～南アジア地域の精査を開始した．
