Research Abstract |
Clara Schumann, who has gained world-wide renown as a pianist, has also left behind a great number of piano compositions. Based on the analysis of her musical tendencies, her personality and her musical environment, this critical edition of the complete works for piano, the first of its kind, aims to highlight expression and performance practice. By adding explanations of performance practice in Japanese, the aim is to also contribute to the understanding of her works and to increase the realization of musical performances in Japan.
