| Research Abstract |
本年度は、おもに先行研究の総括と史的事実の確認をおこなった。
非人称構文や受動態構文に関しては、伝統文法、関係文法、機能主義文法など、多くのアプローチがある。それぞれ、受け継ぐべきところと、不十分なところがある。自らの仮説を提示する準備として各アプローチを批判的に検討しながら総括することを試みた。まだ、検討が不十分な点はあるものの一応その目的は達成されたと考える。
非人称構文と統語的受動態の問題に関してカナダで5月に開催されたSHEL 6(Studies in the History of the English Language)という学会でThe demise of impersonal passives and the rise of 'transitive' passive constructions in Englishというタイトルの学会発表を行った。
また8月に広島大学で開催されたSHELL2009(The 3rd International Conference of the Society Of Historical English Language and Linguistics)で、他動詞構文についてWhat Caused Transitivisation in the History of English?という発表を行った。また、10月にオランダのグローニンゲン大学で開催されたCurrent Trends in Grammaticalization Research(CTGR2009)で文法化についてGrammaticalization as'Syntacticizationという発表を行った。
それぞれ、一定以上の評価を得られ、今後の研究の展開につながった。
