| Research Abstract |
The purpose of this research project is to analyze the process and policy by which Japanese diplomacy responded to the release of Japanese war criminals in the 1950s. It focuseson the main point: the decision by theJapanese Government to demand clemency or parole of Japanese prisoners from the Allied Powers. I have research findings of the subject of the Allied Powers' attitudes on clemency of Japanese prisoners already. This research project of Japanese diplomacy is the counterpart of the Allies subject mentioned above.
