Research Abstract |
We found that microphase separation takes place in semidilute solutions of various kinds of block copolymers using common solvent, such as toluene, tetrahydrofuran, dioctylphthalate, diisopropylbenzene, benzene, etc and non-solvent, such as methanol, cyclohexane, octane, decane, tetradecane, etc. It was also found that selectivity was effectively controlled by temperature change to induce microphase separation in semi-dilute solutions. This technique allowed us to observe the grain formations in detail.
