Research Abstract |
An Al-powder-alloy coating method has been developed as one of technical key issues for accelerator-driven systems using liquid lead-bismuth for the purpose of transmuting long-lived radioactive wastes. The optimum condition was found in the Al-alloy coating method using Al, Ti and Fe powders and the laser beam heating. The Al-alloy coating layers produced under the optimum condition exhibited good corrosion resistance at 550℃for a long time in liquid lead-bismuth.
