Research Abstract |
We established the cyanobacterial HtpG-DnaK2-DnaJ2-GrpE chaperone machine. In this machine, HtpG, DnaK2 and DnaJ2 physically interacted each other. The heat-denatured protein substrates trapped by HtpG could be transferred to DnaK2 to be refolded. The present study indicated that HtpG forms a functional complex with DnaK2 and DnaJ2 to chaperone other proteins under environmental stresses
