トキソプラズマ原虫における植物ホルモン生合成能の存在意義の解明

Research Abstract

アブシジン酸阻害剤以外の他の植物ホルモン生合成阻害剤やその他の植物生理活性阻害剤(除草剤など)をトキソプラズマ原虫やマラリア原虫の培養に添加してその影響を調べてみたところ、いくつかの物質でトキソプラズマやマラリア原虫の増殖を阻害していることが明らかとなった(論文投稿中)。現在その内のいくつかについてより詳細な検討を加えている。
また、トキソプラズマのアピコプラストへのタンパク質輸送機構を解析した結果、自由生活性の二次植物であるクロララクニオン藻類と共通のメカニズムの存在が示唆された(PNAS 2009)。現在詳細を検討中である。
