Research Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in pitching motion during a simulated baseball game. As the main results, the throwing arm shoulder joint abduction angle at stride foot contact decreased with increasing the number of pitches. The scapular elevation angle at stride foot contact decreased with increasing the number of pitches. The scapular abduction-adduction range of motion during stride foot contact to ball release decreased with increasing the number of pitches. The stride leg hip joint extension positive, negative and absolute work decreased with increasing the number of pitches.
