Research Abstract |
Present research investigated effects of educational background during secondary education, understanding of basic scientific concepts, exposure to various media in everyday life, and thinking dispositions on the strength of pseudoscientific beliefs using Structural Equation Modeling. Results showed that good science literacy decreased the validity of pseudoscientific issues and that thinking dispositions were associated to biased judgments.
