Research Abstract |
Homologous recombination is essential mechanism to repair DNA damage, such as double strand breaks. In this grant period, I found that Shu complex assists the role of Rad51 protein, which plays a central role in homologous recombination. Based on research proposal, I also successfully determined the crystal structure of Shu complex, thereby could clarified the structural relationship between Rad51 and Shu protein complex.
