Research Abstract |
This study demonstrates that an SA-treated cpTi implant surface will result in a substantial increase in bone matrix mineralization during the process of osseous wound healing compared with an AO cpTi implant, in the rat maxilla. Furthermore, the highly crystallized HA which results from SA-treatment may play a key role in osteoconduction during osseointegration
