処理性能の不確定性を考慮したサービスチェインのマッピングとスケジューリング方式

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ネットワーク機能仮想化技術の活用により、ソフトウェア化された複数のネットワーク機能を組み合わせたサービスチェインと呼ばれるネットワークサービスが提供される。高効率で低遅延なサービスチェインを提供するためには、サービスチェインをネットワーク上のノードにマッピングし、各ノードにおいて仮想化ネットワーク機能(VNF: virutal network function)処理のスケジューリングを行う必要がある。従来研究では、VNFの処理性能が変動しない(確定的である)と仮定して、マッピングおよびスケジューリングが行われていた。本研究では、VNFの処理性能に不確定性がある条件下で、高効率かつ低遅延なサービスを実現するマッピング・スケジューリング方式の基盤技術を確立する。

VNFリサイジングを可能にするFlexSizeにおいて、同種のフロー、すなわち、同一のホスト上で処理される同一のサービス、VNFのフローにはすべて同じ優先度を割り当てる方式をper-host priority (FlexSize-PHP)と呼ぶ。

フロー毎に優先度を割り当てるFlexSize with per-flow priority (Flex-PFP)を開発し、その適用領域を調査した。ネットワーク仮想化において、per-flow priorityを考慮しながら配備コストを最小化するサービス配備モデルを定式化し、アルゴリズムを考案した。FlexSize-PFPとFlexSize-PHPのいずれもVNFインスタンスの配置決定方法は同様であるが、優先度の決定方法が異なる。数値評価により、per-flow priorityはper-host priorityに比べ、配備コストを削減可能であることを示した。さらに、ネットワーク仮想化環境下における高信頼化技術を開発した。
