Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Since 2021, I have performed this research, titling Discovering Different Types of the Customer-centered Value Creations in the Digital Innovation Process, with theoretical, empirical, and methodological approaches and made concrete outcomes. In this project, two papers were published by one top-tier peer review international journal (IT & People, SSCI, IF 3.879) and one ESCI Journal as journal publications. In addition, five working papers have been released by five international conferences (IASDR 2021, IEE ISSE 2021, KMIS 2021, KMSK 2021, and PACIS 2022). Among them, two papers obtained the best paper research award and the second-best paper in the international research conferences.

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
This research project has been conducted appropriately. In particular, I have almost completed theoretical development by interdisciplinary theories among sociology, management, and design. As a result, seven papers have been released by international journals and conferences Nevertheless, it needs more data collection to make rigorous data collection. The data collection has been delayed because of Covid-19 and university business trip policy.
On this condition, I have contacted four start-up hubs in Japan to collect the most relevant data. Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Nagoya. The Tokyo and Fukuoka start hubs are willing to support to the study. Using these data opportunity, this study will speed up in this fiscal year.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
To make more international and productive outcomes, I have continued to work with domestic and international research collaborators. The collaborators as follows: 1) Prof. Chang in the Business School at Beijing Institute of Technology; 2) Prof. Koo in the Smart Tourism Center at KyungHee University; and 3) Yoko Ogushi in the business school at Sugiyama University. Based on the two-weekly meeting, we have shared and create our research activities and performances as well.
Also, as the extended Kakehin study, I have extended the research topic, focusing on customer-centered value creation and importance of human interaction in the context of the service robot and design study on this research fund.

Causes of Carryover |
The data collection has been delayed because of Covid-19 and university business traveling policy. If it is released a better way, the research data collection will be speed up in Japan and other countries as well.
