Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study examines the perceptions of professional accountants and corporate executives regarding the implementation of advanced digital technologies in accounting practices, and investigates the factors influencing the adoption of such technologies. Interviews were conducted with professional accountants, corporate managers, accounting software vendors, and local government officials, regardless of organizational size or the level of digital technology adoption. The analysis of the interview data suggests that the adoption of advanced digital technologies in accounting operations is influenced by factors such as the perceived usefulness of the technologies, organizational readiness, and the influence of legal and regulatory frameworks.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では、先端デジタル技術に関するインタビュー調査を中心に据え、当該技術を会計実務に円滑に導入する方法、ならびにそのプロセスにおける職業会計士の役割、必要とされる資質・能力を明らかにした。特に、先端デジタル技術の導入を進める企業等においては、当該技術の有用性に対する認識が導入判断に大きく影響していることが明らかとなった。また、こうした企業における会計業務のデジタル化は、職業会計士の役割を単なる入力作業から経営者へのアドバイザーへと再定義する可能性を示唆している。
