Outline of Final Research Achievements

The aim of this study is to improve the quality of home-based care support for gynecologic cancer survivors (cervical cancer and endometrial cancer) by (1) developing a system for regular evaluation and the collection of electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePRO), and (2) examining longitudinal changes in patient-reported outcomes (PRO); including symptoms, functioning, and quality of life (QOL) after hospital discharge.
For (1), characteristic terms were extracted from the textual data of electronic medical records. Most of these terms were related to complications and side effects; however, concerns about cancer recurrence and returning to work were also identified.
Regarding (2), the development of the ePRO evaluation system proved difficult to validate within the current study period. Therefore, further development will continue as an ongoing task to be addressed in the next fiscal year.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
