Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The key scientific question that was investigated, was how Cultural Intelligence (CQ) can be developed at the HE level by using technologically enhanced educational approaches to build an integrative pedagogy for intercultural learning in online, blended and hybrid-type environments.A multi-year project was completed in 3 phases: Year 1: Equipment & online software services acquisition. Publication in an international journal achieved: "International Journal of Educational Media and Technology". Year 2: Data collection focusing on 3 groups: university students studying abroad, and managers working in a local and global company. Presentation of findings at an international online conference, focused on e-learning: "20th International Conference for Media in Education" and the joint presentation of findings at another international conference focused on sustainability: "iREEC 2022: 2nd International Conference of International Researchers of the Education for Environmental Citizenship 2022" . Year 3: Software for analysis was acquired and data collection completed. Work continues to analyze data for dissemination. Several books was acquired to expand the library of knowledge. While significant results were achieved through the analysis of groups and the knowledge of CQ was expanded, the research also found an area for further development, namely the affective component that may influence CQ development and the role of leadership in how CQ spreads in an organisation. The aim beyond this project is to continue exploring these latter elements.
