Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to examine the possibility that moderately and severely intellectual disabilities children and persons have “internal speech”. The contents of what I want to say "written by facilitated communication was examined using quantitative text analysis. The results of the analysis of the extracted words of 91 children and persons with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities suggested that they were thinking about "companionship" and " disability acceptance” in common. A commom characteristic was that they wanted to say, but did not well when expressing them verbally. It was suggested that moderately and severely intellectual disabilities children and persons have “internal speech”.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
