Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The study aimed to clarify the criteria that nursing managers emphasized on during the selection of ward and support nurses to be placed in a ward dedicated to patients with COVID-19. A questionnaire survey was conducted for nursing managers of medical institutions that opened these wards. The survey results revealed that nursing managers emphasized the absence of risk factors for infection, such as pregnancy and underlying diseases when selecting ward and support nurses to be placed in these wards. Additionally, in a ward for severely ill patients with COVID-19, the selection criteria focused on practical nursing experience in caring for these patients, such as work experience in an intensive care unit.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
