Research Abstract

平成22年度において、我々は人工原子としての超伝導量子ビットに関する研究を行った。"巨大原子"がどのように、光、伝搬路、電磁的共鳴器,機械的共鳴器等と相互作用するか、という課題を含んでいるところの、自然にある原子に問うであろうに類似した疑問を追及した。我々はまた、量子光学、原子物理、固体物理、ナノサイエンス、コンピューターサイエンスに及ぶ、分野横断的に理論的な研究の一端を進めた。これらのタイプの問題は、光子がどのように量子ビットや超伝導量子ビットを用いたレージング現象、単一光子生成器、光子数制御(Fock状態生成)、共鳴器による量子ビットカップリング、量子ビットによる共鳴器カップリング、及び量子測定等と影響し合うかということを含む課題である。
我々は主に微細回路の量子ダイナミクスに関する研究、それらが光子と、また機械的共鳴器どのように相互作用するかという課題を含む研究を行った。さらに、最新の実験結果に基づき、これらの課題を成し遂げる方法を探すことによって、カップリングの制御及び集積可能な回路を可能にするより良い方法を探索した。我々はまた超伝導量子ビット状態における連続弱測定、及び量子演算におけるマイクロ波パルス形状の効果に関する研究をも推進した。その研究と並行して、原子物理現象及び超伝導回路におけるレージングに関する研究も行い、また超伝導量子回路の制御性をナノメカニカル共鳴器の冷却に応用する方法を探究した。これらの研究成果は、19件の論文として、また、13件の学会での発表として発表された。
