Research Abstract |
In this international researching collaboration with Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea, etc., we could clarify the following points to be able to contribute to the related studies. (1) By analyzing various opinions that had been published in ethnic media before and after the Pacific War, we could point out the continuous of the society environments and social ideas more than the non-continuousness of history. (2) Overseas Chinese, Jinmen people, Japanese, and Korean were easy and eager to move to the alien areas cross East Asia and Southeast Asia just after the War. Therefore, we confirmed to use the time-spaces analysis and the cross-regional approaches. (3)Ethnic media was able to clarify the various communication media to communicate each other over regions. So we could make out the importance not only the character materials but also non-literal ones like movies, radio etc. In addition, we could clarify the role of the grouping and personal communications to be carried out the connecting for ethnic communities. Finally we recognize to construct the ethnic media data base to develop the ethnic media studies as the remaining problem.
