Drug development for cystic fibrosis (CF) and familial amyloidpolyneuropathy (FAP) is still in progress. We established the CF-like model mouse stablyproducing sputum to evaluate various kinds of medicine, and we found a novel mechanismfor the endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation of transthyretin variants inmammalian cells
