Research Abstract |
The purpose of this investigation was to research on the way we can handle against the various variants and various versions offered by the “edition critique” of the troubadours. The COM (Concordance of Medieval Occitan) 2, furnished by the professeur Peter T. Ricketts, brings together the coupus of texts extant in the language from the first attestation to those belongint to the fifteenth century, but it doesn’t contain the variants. It has taken the texte given by the best edition. On the poems of Marcabru (PC 293 25-26), I essayed to bringth to light the several problems of critical edition of this troubadour. Furthermore, on the critical editions of Folquet de Marseille, I compared the methods employed by Stronski (1910) and that of Squillacioti (1998), extremely comlicated but very suggestive.
