Research Abstract |
Metabotropic glutamate receptor subtype (mGluR1) has many important roles on ischemic, pain and epilepsy, etc. In this study, we have developed novel PET probes for imaging of mGlu1 in brain, with potential for imaging the mGlu1 receptor in rodent and primate brains. Of these new candidates, [11C]ITMM is being used clinically for the study of human brain to elucidate the distribution and density of mGlu1 receptor.
