Research Abstract |
Aesthetic and artistic principles of instructional design (ID) have been gaining muchattention in Western ID research communities, for enhancing learner motivation. Thisstudy explored possibility in applying such principles in Japanese contexts, trying toderive original principles if needed. Such research methods as depicting user stories,Persona techniques, and Parrish’s aesthetic principles were examined so that designprinciples to derive motivating learning experiences can be realized.
