Research Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to examine Manchurian - Nazi German trade relations during World War II. It is said that trade between Manchuria and Nazi Germanyafter the outbreak of war between Germany and the Soviet Union in June 1941 was virtually dead. But a German economic mission (the so-called Wohlthat-Mission) was sent to Manchuria in April 1941, and soon after the Manchurian - German Trade Agreement had begun the shipments carried out by a number of blockade runners and submarines. The main Manchurian products were not soybeans, for which Germany had developed a wide range of uses as foodstuff and as raw material for the industry, but opium and morphine
