Research Abstract |
The primary subject of this study in to investigate how Kyoto was developed in the establishment of the Medieval Times. This study focuses on the relations among three matters : The first one is that the Emperors and ex-Emperors frequently moved their Imperial Palaces in the Regency and Insei Periods. The second one is that many Imperial Palaces were constructed by Zuryo, resident provincial administrators. The third one is that the ex-Emperor's government granted the privilege of the personnel management to Zuryo. This study points out that there was a structural matter of interest over their contracting to billed Imperial Palaces in the background of frequently relocating such Palaces, ' SatoDairi ' or ' InGoshyo ' in the Heian Capital.
