Research Abstract |
This study revealed that information technology has influenced to certain extent Article 16 of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. The study indicates that IT development has altered the meaning and importance of states’ policy frameworks in supporting indigenous peoples’ television. The case analyses conducted in the study also indicate that domestic legal systems play an important role in the emergence and sustainability of indigenous peoples’ television.
