Research Abstract |
1. In 2012, Yoshikawa Kobunkan published my book "The Great East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere of Rice: 'Green Revolution' in the Japanese Empire" as a result of this Kaken project. In this book, I clarified how the Empire developed rice breeding technology in Japan, Taiwan and Korea. 2. In 2013 in EAEH (in Taiwan), I made a presentation on the rice breeding in the Japanese Empire. At the conference, I was able to discuss this research theme with a lot of environmental historians from Asian countries. This would be a basement of research network on this kind of research project.
