Research Abstract |
In this research assignment, we focused the innate immune system in host, and examined the relationship between prion infection and the system. As a result, we revealed that transcription factor IRF3 plays a key role in prion infection. Consequently, we considered that development of prevention and therapeutic agent against the prion disease which targeted the innate immune system would progress by this research project.
