| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本年度は前年度に引き続き，ウェブ検索や国内の諸機関への訪問に基づく文献資料や写真資料等の収集と，国際学会での発表，及び次年度の国際学会でのセッション提案とアブストラクトの執筆を行った。国際学会での発表は，2023年6月7日にイタリア・ミラノで開催されたIGU（国際地理学連合）のテーマ会議"The Ocean and Seas in Geographical Thought"において，18世紀におけるロンドン・東インド会社の社屋の内外を飾る地理的モニュメントの造形や配置の変化が，イギリスの「海上帝国」としての発展といかに関わっていたかを論じた。また，本科研のテーマである《地理的モニュメントと地域主義・国家主義・帝国主義の接合》に密接に関連する2017-22年度の科研テーマ《地理学と国際主義の接合》（課題番号17K03248）に関して，"A whole new world of chigaku: The early years of the Tokyo Geographical Society, 1879-1900"と題するフルペーパーを脱稿し，Springer Nature社から"Geographical Societies in the Nineteenth Century"（ed. M. Georg）として刊行予定の編著書に掲載予定で現在編集中である。また本年度は，次年度8月にアイルランド・ダブリンで開催予定のIGC（国際地理学会議）における地理学史コミッションのセッション"Art and Geographical Thought: The Different Forms of the Geographer's Art?"を提案して採択され，同セッションでの発表に向けたアブストラクト"Allegorical statues and geographical scale: Personified continents and cities in Frankfurt am Main,1840s-1910s"を提出し受理された。

Reason
ミラノにおける国際学会での発表は，その内容がセッションのオーガナイザーであったMarcella Schmidt di Friedberg教授(University of Milan-Bicocca)から高く評価された。関連する英文論文も順調に刊行へと向かっている。また，次年度の国際学会ではセッションのオーガナイザーとして認められ，自らの発表も含めてセッションを統括することになる。

引き続き国内国外での資料収集に努めるとともに，国際学会での発表とディスカッションを通じてフルペーパーの質を高めて投稿する。

ほぼ予定通りに使用したが，若干の端数金額が残存した。次年度の旅費等に含めて使用する。
