Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In 2023, my collaborator Hilary Holbrow and I started to use the data that we collected for the project. Specifically, we conducted statistical analysis to test our hypothesis regarding theories of diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Our study revealed that even if women followed the so-called ideal worker norm and worked just like men, there would still be a gender gap. We presented our findings at the Association of Asian Studies conference in Seattle in March 2024, and gained valuable feedback.

Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In 2024, we will conduct further empirical analysis using the data that we have collected. We plan to complete work on the current paper on the ideal worker model. We aim to present the advanced version of our paper at an academic conference, and subsequently prepare for journal submission. We also plan to initiate work on another paper using our data.
