Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、ヒマラヤ及び周辺地域に生育する植物に関して、多様性の基礎となる植物誌をつくるための調査（インベントリー調査）と特定の植物群に関する解析的調査を進めることを目的とする。平成26年度は、2014年7月から8月にかけて中国雲南省で現地調査をおこなった。また、2015年3月にはネパール・カトマンズにおいて、これまでのとりまとめとして編集を進めている Flora of Nepal に関する編集会議に参加した。
中国雲南省では、省北西部の大理 (Dali)の蒼山 (Cangshan)、香格里拉(Xianggelila) および高黎貢山 (Mt. Gaoli Gongshan) 地域で野外調査を実施した。調査の結果、約550点のおし葉標本を作製すると同時に、集団遺伝学的、花粉分析学的、送粉生態学的調査も実施した。採集した標本を検討した結果、ユリ科ナルコユリ属 (Polygonatum) 属の1新種を見いだし、報告をおこなった（Tamura et al. 2014）。また、これまで花粉の送粉に関して風媒が中心と考えられてきたカヤツリグサ科植物に関して虫媒送粉をする2種を発見し報告をおこなった (Yano et al. in press)。
ネパールにおける編集会議では、これまでの調査の成果を含めた第4巻、第7巻、第10巻の出版に関する進捗状況を報告し、議論をおこなった。これらの巻は順次出版すべく、準備を進めているところである。
さらに、ヒマラヤの植物の魅力について、多くの人がヒマラヤの植物に興味を持ってくれるよう、一般書に解説記事を書いた（池田 2014）。また、これまでに収集したサンプルを用い、生理生態的解析に関する論文 (Taneda et al. 2015)、新産地報告 (Yano et al. 2015)等の論文を発表した。
