Outline of Final Research Achievements

Botanical field researches were carried out in Myanmar, Nepal, and Southwest China between 2011 and 2014. About 12,000 herbarium specimens (ca. 3,300 serial numbers) were collected, and some taxonomical studies and editorial works for the "Flora of Nepal" were done with these specimens. Some phylogeographical and cytogenetical studies were made with the samples collected in the field. Moreover, some scientific papers on reproductive ecology and physiological ecology were published by the field observation and the samples collected in the field. "DNA bank of the Himalayan plants" project was progressed based on the dried materials collected during the researches.
