光キャリア再生可能なフォトニックネットワーク技術の研究

Research Abstract

マルチキャリア光源で生成された光キャリアを光ネットワークで分配・共有するマルチキャリア分配型光ネットワークにおいて,光キャリアの再利用を可能とする光キャリア再生技術によって,ネットワーク内の波長利用効率を向上する光キャリア再生可能な新しいフォトニックネットワークの研究を行った.
今年度は,提案する光ネットワークの実利用で想定される光キャリア再生の性能評価を実験的に検証をもとに,伝送特性に基づく再生性能の評価を行い,光キャリア再生の高い再生能力とスケーラビリティを実証実験によって示した,一方,挿入損失や光増幅器の雑音に基づく光信号対雑音比の劣化を想定して,光ノード数や光リンク長をパラメータとして,光キャリア再生回数を考慮した際のネットワーク規模の解析を行った.
さらに,光キャリア再生技術を応用した光信号処理技術に基づく光ノード技術の研究開発も実施した.具体的には,光信号の変調フォーマット変換に必要となる光クロック信号を電気的なクロック再生技術を用いず,光領域でのクロック生成によって実現するフォーマット変換を構成し,実証実験による詳細な性能評価を行った.これにより,従来方式と比較しても十分に優れた変換性能を有していることを明らかにした.これらの技術はフォトニックネットワークの高度化に寄与するものであり,本研究を介し,光キャリア再生技術の幅広い有効性と実用性を明らかにすることが出来た.
